Meet Cody

This dog's adoption fee is $50.  If you are still interested, please read more below.

Cody is a happy, healthy 15 year old, 27 pound, male Cockapoo who needs a soft place to land after his human mom has passed away.

He is fixed, up to date on vaccinations, has had a dental (3/27/25), had senior blood panel (all findings within range of normal), and has been cleared for adoption.  He is hard of hearing and he does have cataracts/dry eyes which are common with his age. He gets drops for his eyes three times a day and will come with several bottles of drops.  He walks well on a leash. With his vision difficulties it is best that he doesn’t have to climb stairs.  He enjoys a good scratch/rubbing of his ears and enjoys being near his people.  Cody doesn’t attempt to

get up on furniture.  He is housebroken with no destructive behaviors.

He gets along well with both other dogs and cats as he is living with both in his current foster setting. He was a very well loved animal by his mom and the family is just hoping that he can live out the rest of his days in companionship with a new family in a quiet home—ideally without young children under 12-13 year old children—most geriatrics (human or canine) don’t really want to live in a home with a lot of noise.

If you have love to give and appreciate an adult dog, Cody is the dog for you.

Cody is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, housebroken, and neutered.  This dog's family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.  A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you are interested in adopting this dog, fill out an Online Application today!  Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
