Meet Grendel

Hi I’m Grendel and I’m a fuzzy little cuddle-monster! When you first meet me, I might be a little shy and scurry away, but I will very quickly show you how affectionate I am. My fluffy fur is addictively soft, and I want to share it with everyone I meet. When I learned how great pets are, I decided I wanted to live with people forever. Sometimes my foster mom tries to “work” instead of petting me, so I help her by shutting her laptop! You’ll often find me in my natural habitat — lounging in your bed and sacked out on your softest blankets. When I’m not in snuggle mode I love to play with my siblings, but I’m just as happy to hunt down a sparkle ball by myself. Maybe you’ll catch me singing and chirping while I hunt! I’m looking for a home with at least one kitty sibling. I would be a good playmate for a rambunctious and playful cat, like my brother Brownie, but I might be overwhelming for a cat who needs their personal space. I haven’t mastered the difference between human and kitty playmates yet, so I’m not ready to live in a house with kids. A respectful teenaged human sibling would be okay. I’m not sure how I feel about dogs. While I would prefer that petting and playing with me be your full-time job, I’m purr-fectly content to play and snuggle with my kitty siblings until you get home. Because I’m still learning how to be a housecat, I’m looking for a knowledgeable cat parent to help me learn good habits and patiently introduce me to new experiences. Ready to become my best friend and snuggle buddy? Submit an application today!

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
