Meet Lettuce and Tomato (bonded pair)

Meet Lettuce and Tomato of the BLT Litter! These two bonded brown tabby brothers are the cutest and sweetest veggies you'll ever meet. At just over six months old, these boys have teenage kitty energy. They romp, wrestle and play all day. They get into ALL the things, including checking out what's in the refrigerator if you leave it open too long. Have a tasty treat? They are going to want to try it. On a video call for work? Get ready for a guest star on your call. Once their day of crazy is complete, they love to cuddle in a lap, next to a pillow or curled up together. These boys are vocal and love to chat as well. Their meows sound an awful lot like "hello?!" and have their foster family laughing constantly. Lettuce and Tomato enjoy diving through tunnels, scaling the cat tree and jumping miles in the air to capture the wand toy. They are currently in a home with 4 adult cats and 2 dogs, as well as their litter mate, Bacon. They are in a foster home with two loud and rambunctious kiddos and tolerate quite a bit! These boys are in action all the time and they seem to mean mug when I try to photograph them but they are anything but mean! These two would be an excellent fit for an fun and active family who like entertainment.

We encourage you to consider adopting kittens in pairs!

-Two kittens keep each other entertained - they will play and get all their energy out on each other in time for snuggles with you!

-Having two kittens to play with each other prevents "I'm lonely and bored" behavioral issues.

-Watching two kittens wrestle is quite possibly the cutest thing you will ever see.

-The kittens will teach each other "how to cat" and learn to be more social with humans and people.

-You'll save two lives instead of one!

Lettuce and Tomato are microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed/neutered , and litter box trained.

Their adoption fee is $330 (165 x2).  Please note A.R.F. does not approve applications for any kitten under 6 months of age to families that live outside of Illinois and/or beyond 100 miles of Wheaton or Glen Ellyn, IL.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
