Meet Cricket
Cricket is approximately 3 years old, and is a cute, petite tortoiseshell (also known as a "tortie") kitty with gorgeous big eyes. She has a unique coat of many colors in a mosaic of brown, black, orange, white and tan.
Cricket is curious and spunky, and likes to "talk". She is a little timid at first, but she warms up fast, and quickly learns to trust her human(s). She has blossomed into a sweet, affectionate kitty that enjoys being petted, and absolutely LOVES being brushed. She can be a little quiet and reserved at times, but she also gets the joyful zoomies. When her human(s) enter the room, she rushes to greet them and follow them around. At nap time she will lay next to you, sometimes draping herself over your body.
Cricket likes looking out the window to watch birds, squirrels and the neighbors. She loves chasing laser toys, playing with feather toys, and watching bird videos. She seems a little unsure of toys that make noises, like those with jingle bells.
Recently she had a root canal procedure to repair a previously broken upper canine tooth. This should last her a lifetime, but she should have dental x-rays done under anesthesia in 1-2 years just to confirm that the root canal is successful. The success rate for root canal therapy in cats is very high.
Cricket is looking for a kind and patient pet parent(s) who will provide lots of love and attention.
Cricket was rather anxious around her foster's own cat, and would do best as an only pet. She would be comfortable in a home with older, considerate kids.
Cricket is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations,
spayed
, and litter box trained.
Cricket's adoption fee is $135. If you are interested in meeting Cricket, please fill out our Online Application today!
Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.
If you’re invited to meet an animal:
- Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
- All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
