Meet New Mexico

Here I am! The cat you've been looking for!  I always want lots of love and I have lots of love to give, too.  Head and chin scratches are my absolute favorite.  I also love being brushed.  It's a great way for us to bond.  When I can't find a nice warm lap to snuggle up in, the highest level of my cat tree is where you'll find me.  I enjoy a nice long nap in the sunshine and really like to watch the birds and animals outside.  Besides snuggles and cuddles, I like playing with toys, too.  Wand toys and laser pointers are my favorites.  I can't wait to play!

I would do great in a home with another cat, but would also do fine on my own.  I love kids....little kids, big kids, it doesn't matter.  The more love I can get, the better!  I am a pretty laid back guy and can adjust pretty easily to any environment. I haven't been around dogs, but as long as I have a proper introduction, I would probably do just fine.

New Mexico currently resides at the Oswego PetSmart, 350 Fifth St, Oswego.  Come by and meet him.  He can't wait to find his forever home.

New Mexico is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, neutered, and litter box trained. His adoption fee is $135. If you are interested in meeting New Mexico, please fill out our Online Application today!

Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
