Meet Cattywampus
Hello everyone! Thanks for stopping to check out my bio. Allow me to introduce myself! I’m Cattywampus and I’m a playful and always on the go cat but I do love taking some breaks to get snuggles. I absolutely love attention and I am always asking for more of it. If you are not petting me or playing with toys with me, I’m going to talk your ear off. I’ll mostly be saying things like, “Hey don’t forget I’m right here! Or Just pet me and all of your troubles will melt away.”
I truly can’t wait to have a family of my own to dote on me every chance they get. I have been ok with the cats I have met so far. I would not say that I’m best friends or enemies with the cats that I’ve met, but I have coexisted in the same space with no issues. I also have not known any of them for very long, so I am sure that if I have more time to meet them, a friendship will blossom. So, if you already have another kitty at home, I’d love to meet them and get to know them with a positive, slow, introduction.
The same goes for dogs! I have two in my foster home and when my foster is holding me and the dogs are smelling me I’m completely fine. I would need to be in a home with a dog who doesn’t want to chase me, since I would really prefer a home where I can sit on your lap without needing to run away. So far, I have adored children. I’ve only met children as young as five years old, but I think I would do fine with even younger kids because I just have a very easy-going go with the flow kind of personality.
I do have one special consideration that I would like to mention. My one eye is a little weepy. The veterinarian feels that my weepy eye will go away once I find a home that is a little more calm than my current foster one. But, I just wanted to mention this because it looks a little weird but I promise that it doesn’t bother me. The vet also told my foster mom if there are vast changes in my life, my weepy eye may reappear while things get settled. But right now, the vet is confident that the eye is very quiet and there is no issue with it. It’s just more of a stress response at the moment. If you would like more information, my foster mom would be happy to tell you more about it.
So that’s me, Cattywampus. My name is as cute as my personality and I am really looking forward to meeting you and seeing if we are the perfect fit. I am a chill but energetic cat and an absolute lover of attention. Apply for me today!

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.
If you’re invited to meet an animal:
- Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
- All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
