Meet Doris

Doris is one very special girl. She’s adorable and small.  We call her a pocket cat  because she would fit in your back pocket.  (Well not exactly lol but you get the idea)  Doris has beautiful tiger markings on her legs and bright green eyes that just stare into your soul and fill every bit of your heart with love.  She’s a perfect companion- affectionate, playful, and polite.   She needs to be your only pet but trust me she’s all you’ll need and more.  Doris is between 1-2 years old and 8 pounds with teeny tiny short little legs.  She won’t get much bigger than this - a petite little permanent kitten.  She has been failed by humans twice - once when brought to animal control last winter and then rescued by ARF and fostered by me.  Then adopted in February and relinquished again when the owner she thought was her forever dad brought her back to ARF with a very broken heart.  Doris has learned to trust again in my foster care but other animals make her feel insecure and frightened so we are going to make sure she is happy in her new home as an only fur baby.  Doris loves belly rubs and endless pets and love from her humans.  She chirps so sweetly the entire time you play with her.  She will run after balls you toss for her and jump for wand toys.  Doris is also good with kids and toddlers that have been taught to be kind and gentle with pets.  She can’t wait to meet you!

Doris is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations,  spayed, and litter box trained.

Her adoption fee is $135.  If you are interested in meeting Doris, please fill out our Online Application today!

Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.

  • Age-appropriate vaccines
  • Pre-adoption medical exam
  • A certificate for a free healthy pet exam at one of A.R.F.’s participating veterinarians within 7 days of adoption

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
