Meet Wally

Superstition tells us that black cats are bad luck. Wally is here to tell you that isn’t so. Wally was seen in an alley in Chicago with several other cats by a Good Samaritan on her way home from work. The next day she stopped with food. It became evident to her that Wally was friendly and had probably been dumped. He let her put him in a carrier and take him to Paws Chicago to be neutered, and given all his shots. She had no place to keep him so she brought him back to the alley and continued to feed him and the other cats while she also posted on a cat rescue site looking for help in finding him a forever home. An ARF foster reached out to her and now Wally is in a foster home, warm, loved and fed twice a day.

Wally does not care to be up high on a cat tree. He prefers to spend his time on the floor or in his cattasaurus. While Wally loves attention and to be scratched and petted he is still not sure about being held, especially if you are standing

Wally has excellent litter box habits and loves to eat. If you ever wanted a house panther, now is your chance. Fill out an no obligation application and once approved we can arrange a meet and greet for you with Wally. Wally is a big boy at 13+ pounds of love.

Wally is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations,

neutered

, and litter box trained.

Wally's adoption fee is $135.  If you are interested in meeting Wally, please fill out our Online Application today!

Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
