Meet Orangello
Meet Orangello, a handsome and affectionate cat whose soulful eyes tell a story of resilience and hope. This sweet boy was recently surrendered—through no fault of his own—less than 24 hours after finding what he thought would be his forever home. Despite the sudden change, Orangello has handled everything with incredible grace and patience. He’s ready to find someone who will cherish him for the loving, gentle companion he truly is.
Orangello’s personality shines through the moment you meet him. He adores affection and will lean into your hand for pets or curl up quietly nearby just to be close. He’s the kind of cat who reminds you why a warm purr can make any day better. With his calm demeanor and open heart, Orangello simply wants a family to give him another chance—to prove that love, once given, will be returned tenfold.
Originally from Kendall County, Orangello is still settling in while we learn more about his preferences, including how he does around other cats. For now, it’s clear he craves connection and comfort. If you’re looking for a loyal, grateful companion who just wants to belong, Orangello is waiting to meet you. Give this sweetheart the fresh start he deserves, and you’ll gain a friend for life.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit all of our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.
If you’re invited to meet an animal:
- Plan to arrive early, as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
- All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
