Meet Shelby *front paw declaw*

My story is a sad one as my owner had to go to a nursing home and the family didn't want me, so they put me in carrier and left me at the front door of the local Veterinary Hospital. They found me the next day took care of me until the local shelter could take me in. The whole ordeal was very stressful, but luckily ARF took me in as a rescue and things have gotten so much better.

It took me a few days to settle, but my foster tells me that I am a very sweet little girl. I love to sit next to her when we watch TV. I even little to sit on her lap and get pets if she stops I lightly touch her hand for more. I will make a great companion as I love to be near people.

Shelby truly is a petite little lady with the cutest little front legs. She truly will be a great companion. I am so happy she came out of her shell.  Shelby will be best as an only cat or with a very docile cat.  I do not care about dogs. If you are interested in Shelby please complete an application online.

Shelby is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, and litter box trained.

Shelby's adoption fee is $300.  If you are interested in meeting Shelby, please fill out our Online Application today!

Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
