Meet Poppy
Meet Poppy! This petite tabby girl just turned one and unfortunately has to be rehomed since her owner has developed severe allergies. Poppy is one of a kind. She will take a minute to warm up, but once she realizes that you're a friend, she won't leave you alone! She is a sweetheart with a big personality who loves nothing more than to be pet and cuddled. She will climb into your lap and sleep right on your chest while you relax on the couch or in bed after a long day. When she isn’t asking for her owner’s affection, she's a pro at entertaining herself and is always fine to be left alone at home. One of Poppy’s favorite things to do is play with toys, especially toys that have string! Her second favorite thing to do is stare out the window, watching bugs, birds and people pass by. Best of all, after you offer her some treats or wet food, she'll be your best friend in no time!
Poppy prefers to be the sole recipient of your attention (since she is an attention hog!), but she did grow up with another cat and a medium-sized canine companion - see the photos! She would do well in a home with a friendly and respectful dog; and she would likely adapt to a home with a new feline companion, but it would take some time. Either way, this girl has so much love to give!
Are you looking for an affectionate and playful companion? Look no further than Poppy. You won't regret inviting this lovable feline into your life. If you have any questions about Poppy, please let the rescue know and we are more than happy to tell you more about this beautiful girl.
Poppy is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, and litter box trained.
Poppy's adoption fee is $135. If you are interested in meeting Poppy, please fill out our Online Application today!
Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.
If you’re invited to meet an animal:
- Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
- All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.
Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
