But life changed for her family after the arrival of a newborn, and through no fault of her own, Alaina found herself surrendered back to us. While that transition has been a big adjustment, this resilient girl has shown incredible strength and heart.

Right now, Alaina is in a loving foster home where she’s steadily regaining her confidence. She’s also recovering from some much-needed dental work — and once she’s fully healed, she’ll be reunited with her feline companion, which we know will bring her so much comfort. These two sweet souls shared a home before, and in time, they’ll have that familiar bond again.
