Meet Firefly

Help!  I need help desperately! My foster mom thinks it’s appropriate to feed me can food only ONCE a day.  And I am hungry!  I promise, I don’t eat that much in one sitting, but my siblings are stealing all the food!  My dry food just isn’t cutting it.  But yeah, I guess I could survive on JUST dry food.  But how much fun is that?

Despite my food demands, I’m a pretty easygoing girl.  I know there are a lot of opinions about calico attitude, but I promise I’m just a sweet little ball of fun.  I purr CONSTANTLY and do a ton of cute little rolls, somersaults, and stretches on the floor to show my love for you.

My favorite things in life?  Food, of course.  And looking outside at birds and pretending I’m going to eat them.  I also love my cat siblings.  When I was little I think I was raised in a hoarder or multi-cat situation.  Some of my siblings aren’t really used to being petted by people

so they are really scared.  I felt that way for a while, but now I’m fine with my foster mom and dad, and even their little kids.

My foster mom asked me what kind of home I want to live in.  I told her anywhere that will pet me, feed me, give me lots of love, and be a bit patient with me.  I would be perfectly happy with a lot of other cats.  But probably not really noisy kids- I would get scared and hide and never come out of my hiding place.  Other than that, I’m pretty adaptable and open to anything!

If a cat or dog is on our website, it is still available for adoption but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, submit a no-commitment application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved in approximately 3-5 business days.

We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals.  The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we give priority to pre-approved applicants.

If you’re invited to meet an animal:

  • Plan to arrive on time (or early), as we cannot hold animals for any reason.
  • All human household members and dogs (if adopting another dog), must be present in order to be considered as a potential adopter.

Thank you for your interest and cooperation!
